Main varieties are Valencia, Washington and Navel
They are related to lemons, limes and grapefruit

They need high temperatures to grow well

They can grow to over 2 meters tall
They are rich in Vitamin C
They can be grown in large pots or containers
Yield can be as high as 65kg a tree












How to Grow

They prefer a fertile slightly acid soil
They need a open sunny position
They need to be protected from winds
Plant out in Spring
Do not feed recently planted oranges
Use compost in the soil and mulch the plant
Fertilize trees in Spring and Autumn
They respond well to careful pruning
